SILVER STAG Knives are NOT mass produced production knives. Every single unit is hand made by skilled American craftsmen and no two knives will ever be exactly the same. Most custom knife makers charge three to six hundred dollars for comparable products, while the majority of our knives retail in the $69 to $179 range. How can we offer such an exceptional value? By manufacturing large, same style runs we gain production efficiencies that cannot be duplicated in a small custom shop. We use three types of High Carbon Tool Steel to manufacture our exclusive designs; D2, 1095, and 15N20, (Steel specifics can be reviewed at each “Product Series” listing). We are the only company in the world manufacturing an exclusive line of American antler knives manufactured from domestically produced high carbon tool steels. The SILVER STAG collection is made up of over 60 extremely functional blade designs, each one classified into one of Ten Series, categorized by the steel, antler, and construction method used in the manufacturing process. These Series are; CROWN, DAMASCUS, TOOL STEEL, SLAB, ELK STICK, POINT, SCRIMSHAW, POCKET, BUTCHER and SWORD.

WHATS NEW?

Every year we test and develop new designs, improve our existing designs, source better raw supplies, and upgrade our equipment. Improving our quality and selection is an ongoing process. It is very gratifying to compare knives that were manufactured back in the “garage days”, to our finished knives today. It makes us appreciate all of our hard work and long hours that we have spent building additional quality, selection, and value into the SILVER STAG product line. This year we have taken it to a new level and we are proud to announce that we are no longer an exclusive “fixed blade” cutlery manufacturer. Our new Pocket Series feature double and single bladed designs with our signature D2 High Carbon steel blades and stag scale handles. We have also introduced a small line of Chef Knives. Why culinary knives? Because many of our customers are using our hunting and fishing knives in their kitchens every night and they swear by them, (and so do we / see CHEF Series). We have also developed a few new additional “in-line” designs that are sure to please the most selective outdoor professional. As you browse through our various “Series”, our newest designs will be highlighted.  

Over the years, the SILVER STAG has partnered with many professional industry organizations and companies that work hard to protect, conserve, and promote our rights and outdoor heritage. We have been honored to be able to contribute, and humbled to receive the following recognition for our work: Ducks Unlimited Knife of the Year, NRA Knife of the Year, National Wild Turkey Federation Knife of the Year, Whitetails Unlimited Knife of the Year, NRA Limited Edition Damascus Frontier Series, Cabela’s 50 Anniversary Commencement Knife, Mule Deer Federation Knife of the Year, Pheasants Forever 30^th Anniversary Knife, and KING RANCH Knife of the Year. We were honored to be awarded “Friends of NRA 2013 Knife of the Year”. This 4”, D2 High Carbon Hand Hollow ground Blade (7.5” Overall ), is finished with hand cut and fit Moose Antler scales. Only 1,100 “MOOSE BONE SKINNERS” will ever be produced!
